1. The Pentafecta event shall be the designated race(s) of the day appearing in the racing program as approved by the Philippine Racing Commission.
2. The bettor shall select the first five finishers in the exact / correct order of arrival at the finish line (i.e., 1ST, 2ND, 3RD, 4TH and 5TH place horses) in the designated Pentafecta event.
3. The bettor can choose from as many numbers of combinations as he wishes. The types of betting can be single, multi-value, banker and rumble.
4. The minimum investment shall be P2.00. Other denominations in excess of the minimum investment of P2.00, in the exact multiple of P1.00, will be made available.
5. Dividend Qualification: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th place horses in the correct order.
The Pentafecta dividend shall be computed based on the unit of P1.00 by dividing the Pentafecta net dividend pool by the total amount of bets on the Pentafecta winning combination. The dividend on each unit bet shall be declared by eliminating the fraction of ten centavos, which shall form part of the breakage. No dividend less than P1.00 per unit shall be declared. The official dividend shall be posted based on the minimum investment / bet of P2.00.
In a dead heat situation involving two or more winning combinations, the dividends shall be computed separately by dividing the total gross dividend pool into as many winning combinations with money bets and the quotient thereof shall be used to compute the partial net dividend pool for each part. The partial net dividend pool for each part shall then be divided by the total amount of bets on the winning combination of that corresponding part.
In the event that one of the winning combinations involved in the dead heat has no money bets (i.e., has not been selected), the total gross dividend pool shall be distributed to the other winning combination(s) involved in the dead heat with money bets. The dividends of the winning combination(s) shall be computed in the same manner as stated in 5.a or 5.b above.
In case of dead heat involving two or more combinations, the following procedures shall be followed:
Dead Heat for 1st:
For horses 1 and 2, winning combinations shall be 1-2-3-4-5 and 2-1-3-4-5 in the correct order.
Dead Heat for 2nd:
For horses 2 and 3, winning combinations shall be 1-2-3-4-5 and 1-3-2-4-5 in the correct order.
Dead Heat for 3rd:
For horses 3 and 4, winning combinations shall be 1-2-3-4-5 and 1-2-4-3-5 in the correct order.
Dead Heat for 4th:
For horses 4 and 5, winning combinations shall be 1-2-3-4-5 and 1-2-3-5-4 in the correct order.
Dead Heat for 5th:
For horses 5 and 6, winning combinations shall be 1-2-3-4-5 and 1-2-3-4-6 in the correct order.
Similar procedures shall be followed for a dead heat situation that involves more than the number of horses as illustrated above.
In the event that no winning ticket is sold for the winning combination(s), the net dividend pool shall be carried-over to the net dividend pool of the next Pentafecta event.
In case of scratched entry or entries, all bets on said entry or entries shall be refunded.
The Racing Manager may designate a race and accept bets for the Pentafecta event if there are eight (8) or more starters declared for that particular race. If prior to the start of betting or during the betting period for a particular Pentafecta event, horses are withdrawn and the remaining declared starters in the race is less than six (6), the Racing Manager shall cancel and immediately stop the Pentafecta betting for that particular Pentafecta event. All bets already made shall be refunded.
In the event that there are less than five finishers, all bets shall be refunded.
In the event that the designated race for the Pentafecta event is cancelled, all bets shall likewise be refunded.
