The Philippine Racing Commission takes great pride in welcoming everyone the official website of the PHILRACOM. Philippine horse racing’s key policy and regulatory agency mandated to promote and direct the accelerated growth and development of the local equine industry.
This is indeed an opportune occasion to finally link the PHILRACOM, an agency established more than 28 years ago, to the information highway and keep it abreast with the exciting developments in the electronic media. Considering the many changes that have happened to the local horse racing industry over the past years, we believe that it is only timely that such a window has finally been opened.
Through this new service, we intend to inform and increase the awareness of the public on the major developments and activities affecting the local horse racing industry, including major policy issues and concerns that are regularly addressed by the PHILRACOM during its weekly meetings.
Moreover, this website is also intended to provide all interested parties, both here and abroad, with enough information to possibly consider future involvements in the industry either as potential investors or direct participants.
We are proud to note that Philippine horse racing is undoubtedly one of the most vibrant sport-industries in the country, if not in the whole racing world, having set record growth in terms of patronage over the past many years.
We are hopeful that through the stewardship of the PHILRACOM that we would be able to harness local horse racing to its full potential both as a source of revenue for the government and livelihood for many of our countrymen.
Thank you very much.
"Larga Na!" Philracom MTV Captures Excitement of Horseracing
Horseracing is all about speed, stamina, and excellence. It's a sport that so colorful, vibrant, and exciting, it truly is like no other.
The fun and passion of racing is now captured in a music video that's just about the average duration of a race. Commissioned by Philracom as part of its mandate to promote the sport, the song, entitled "Larga Na!" was composed and arranged by musician and designer Jeck Pilpil and performed by the up-and-coming group Bandoska.
The music video is Phiracom's first MTV and video plug. "We were looking for a way to promote racing much like 'Wow Philippines!' campaign of the Department of Tourism, which made use of its own jingle and beautiful images of the country.
"The 'Larga Na!' tune is very catchy. We hope racing fans and music lovers will enjoy it, and horseracing as well."
The "Larga Na!" MTV will be launched on 26 September 2008, Friday, on the live cable TV race coverage of Santa Ana Park on Prime Channel. It will be aired in its entirety (2:16) over Prime Channel from Friday to Sunday and at San Lazaro Leisure Park during its next raceweek.
Thereafter, rotating 45-seconder videos will be aired occasionally, while the song itself will be played in between races.
"Larga Na!" will also get airplay on "Racing Talk on Radio" on DZSR, hosted by Benjie Castro, Ching Vicente, and Benjie S.
Philracom thanks the Philippine Racing Club, Prime Channel, Manila Jockey Club, Makisig Network, and DZSR jfor their support of this campaign.

In line with the modern demands of the information superhighway the PHILRACOM has officially changed its website
WELCOME TO THE NEW PHILRACOM WEBSITE Webmaster
In line with the modern demands of the information superhighway the PHILRACOM has officially changed its website. An over-haul was given to both content and design to better serve the information needs of the horse racing public. This is part of continuing effort to extend our reach to communicate and serve not only the growing horse racing population but as well as to educate the public about the PHILRACOM’s mandate and it’s major role in the local horse racing industry.
The new website design consists of columns and rows positioned to further enhance easy navigation of the site. The old menus has now been upgraded to a small and compact menu found at the top of the site itself. All the relevant information about horse racing such as sales/revenue and race results are now found in the Information Menu for better accessibility. Quick Links are found in the right column of the page as well as important links. Found on the left column are links to our downloadable forms, notices and announcements, calendar of events, etc.
The PHILRACOM also launched its very own forum to promote interaction among horse racing aficionados and the commission itself. We welcome comments and suggestions to to further increase our service
