RESOLUTION NO. 20 – 14

RESOLVED, that PR 63 of the Rules and Regulations on Horse Racing be amended by adding PR 63-B to read as follows:

PR 63-B. MALFUNCTION OF EQUIPMENT

(In addition to PR 63A-3 Board Resolution No. 5 -12 dated 12 January 2012)

 

During racing days, if any pertinent “Club Facilities and Equipment” identified under PR 3. Unit II Chapter 2 of Rules and Regulations, fails to function, the race shall be suspended for a reasonable and permissible period for repairs as determined by PHILRACOM and the Board of Stewards. However, if the necessary repairs will take a considerable length of time in such a way that it will affect and disrupt the schedule of races for that day, the Board of Stewards shall recommend with the approval of PHILRACOM, cancel the races for that day.

           

Whenever the Board of Stewards officially cancels races, the PHILRACOM shall conduct an investigation and if found negligent shall be assessed a fine based on the number of races that have been cancelled. The Racing Club shall refund all the expenses incurred by the horse owners, trainers and jockeys affected by the cancellation of any race (trailer fee, inscription and declaration fees).
