RUNNING
PR
12. EVERY HORSE SHALL RUN ON ITS MERITS
A. If any rider
deliberately loses a race in any manner whatsoever or by pulling or stopping his
mount without justifiable reason shall be suspended.
B. Any rider
that jumps from his mount intentionally to lose a race shall be suspended.
C. The rider of every horse shall take all reasonable and permissible
measures throughout the race to ensure that his horse is given full
opportunity to win or to obtain the best possible place in the field.
D. Any person
who in the opinion of the Stewards has breached, or was a party to breaching,
any portion of this Rule may be punished, and the horse concerned may be
disqualified.

13. CARELESS RIDING
A.
MINOR –
crossing, bumping or weaving,
causing crowding to another runner or runners throughout the race, or within
the first 50 meters coming out of the starting gate.

MEDIUM –
to cause crowding to another
runner or runners causing their horses to be checked or lose ground.

MAJOR – riders
that instigate severe interference to one or more runners causing those

PR 14. LACK OF INTEREST OR CONSIDERED NOT TO BE COMPETITIVE – That the positioning of his
mount was not to the betterment of his mount’s chance throughout the
race;
PR 15. FAILING TO RIDE HIS MOUNT OUT – to the finish of a race:

Being an unplaced horse Ordinary

B.
That affects the placings (in exotic bets) Ordinary

C.
Being an unplaced horse Stakes

D.

PR 16. FOUL
RIDING –
if a rider strikes, pushes, holds or detains
another horse or its rider in a manner prejudicing another entry or its
rider, so to interfere with that horses or chance of success or causes the
unseating of a rider will be
suspended for a period of four to twenty-six racing weeks (4 to 26 racing
weeks) along with any person found to be a party to the offence. On the other hand, the horse will not
suffer any penalty.
